I recently had the pleasure of working with John for outdoor lighting and landscaping work at my home, and I can confidently say this was one of the best contractor experiences I’ve had in Williamson County. From the very beginning, John went above and beyond in his level of consultation. He didn’t just install lights — he carefully walked through placement strategy, sight lines, coverage, and overall design to make sure every part of our backyard was properly illuminated. He even made thoughtful modifications to our mulch beds to ensure the lighting was positioned perfectly across the entire space. That level of thoroughness is rare. What really stood out was his attention to infrastructure. I wanted automation integrated into the lighting system, and John took the time to ensure everything was set up correctly from the ground up. Jon did a terrific job designing and installing our lights. He listened to what we wanted and even more importantly what we didn’t want. He is a perfectionist who may be a bit higher in price but is worth it for the quality of his work and products. He responds quickly with any issues or concerns and I would highly recommend Homelight and Jon Swenson .

We live in Ivy Glen subdivision in Franklin tn. and needed indoor lights replaced in two areas in our great room. These areas are close to the ceiling and unreachable by a regular ladder. Plus the lights were the old fluorescent tube lights that were spotty in light coverage leaving shadows in between the tubes. Jon suggested a continuous LED light replacement. I chose a cooler light color. We are absolutely thrilled with the result! The new light has total coverage with no shadows, and the quality of the light has improved the overall look of the room. I recommend Jon with homelight!
